Venues that pay us carry an 'Ad' badge. A venue without the badge has not paid.

1. Advertisers and non-advertisers are listed together

Our income is the advertising fee venues pay us. The list, however, also includes venues with no advertising agreement. Only venues that pay carry the 'Ad' badge; a venue without it has not paid. This site is not a directory of every venue in a city — we list only places whose opening hours we have checked ourselves.

2. The advertising badge

Only cards for venues that pay to advertise carry the 'Ad' badge. It always sits in the same place — the top left of the card image — in the same form. We do not sell any product that removes or softens the badge.

3. How the order is decided

The default order ('Recommended') puts places that are open now first, then advertisers, then the rest by distance. To stop advertising piling up at the top, only the first two positions may be advertisers; any remaining advertisers are spaced one every four cards. If you re-sort by distance or open-first, whether a venue advertises has no effect on the order at all. This site has no ratings, so there is no score that paying more could raise.

4. Discount promotions

Discounts and complimentary items are provided by each venue at its own cost. We do not fund them. The site shows which venues can honour a coupon and which cannot.

5. What we will not list

· Venues confirmed to be operating illegally · Venues that arrange or allude to prostitution · Promotion aimed at minors for places minors are legally barred from · Advertising copy claiming effects or credentials that are untrue
